The parents of the 4-year-old girl who fell from a fourth-floor window over the weekend are overcome with grief.

Hilda and Adolfito Flores are grief stricken over the loss of their 4-year-old autistic daughter Helena. The incident happened Saturday afternoon while Helena was with her mother's sister and niece. Helena's 2-year-old sister was also home at the time.

"It's the most devastating thing of my life," says Aldofito.

The Flores' say they were careful when it came to safety. They had protective bumpers on table corners and safety gates. They even had the required gate on the bottom window, but Helena fell through the top window that was open an inch because it was hot in the room.

"The one thing we didn't think of is the one thing that caused this tragedy," says Adolfito.

Neighbors set up a vigil in memory of Helena. Everyday there's a growing number of candles, stuffed animals and balloons.

The Flores' say no words or actions can take the pain away, but knowing that people are there for support is amazing.
