A Mott Haven gas station has been robbed at gunpoint, police say.
The incident, caught on camera, happened on Third Avenue Sunday at around 3:30 a.m.
A worker tells News 12 the Bronx that two suspects entered the store with their faces covered and whipped out a gun while pushing a customer to the ground.
According to the worker, one of the suspects shot at the cash register to open it, but when it wouldn't open, he took the whole register. The suspects took off with nearly $1,000.
Police describe both men as 5'8" to 5'9" and anywhere between 160 and 170 pounds.
The gas station now closes its store from midnight to 5:30 a.m. in fear that something will happen again.
No injuries were reported in this case. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
