Police arrived to a Co-op City home Tuesday morning to find three men in the middle of stealing the wheels off a woman's new car, according to authorities.
They say the 33-year-old victim alerted police around 5:50 a.m. that her rims and tires were being stolen from her 2017 Honda Accord outside 120 Erksine Place.
Police say they responded to the area and found several men removing tires from a car. One suspect fled on foot, leaving behind a 2002 Acura, according to investigators. The other two fled in a silver Inifiniti.
They made off with three tires and rims valued at $1,500, police say.
Police are looking for three suspects. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
