Prayer walk against violence held in the Bronx
Church leaders and parishioners held a prayer walk Saturday to inspire people to commit themselves to prayer in protecting the Bronx community from the increase in violence.
Nonprofit organization Fair Action organized the walk, which started from Virginia Park in Parkchester and ends in Westchester Square.
Organizers hope this will foster partnerships with other faith-based communities, for the walk's focus is on prayer practice.
They say they want everyone to know about the power of prayer.
Organizers also say they hope to make this an annual event.
