Residents want garbage cleared along Walton Ave.
Litterbugs are dumping items along Walton Avenue on a city Parks Department property, according to neighbors who want it cleaned up.
They say the problem has been ongoing for years.
The Parks Department says it conducted a similar cleanup on another embankment last year, which required special equipment. This project will also require that equipment, officials say.
Illegal dumping is plaguing other Bronx roadways as well.
The city says workers removed tons of garbage four times so far in 2016 from a dumping site along Morris Avenue and the Grand Concourse.
