Teens help clean up neighborhood streets
A local lawmaker is recruiting teens to help clean up the streets of the Bronx.
Councilman Andy King joined teenagers from a summer youth employment program on White Plains and Gun Hill roads Wednesday for "Operation Cleaner Streets."
King says the event, and others like it, keep kids focused on their neighborhood and what it means to have a stake in the community.
King started "Operation Cleaner Streets" earlier this year.
