A broken elevator in a Soundview apartment building is causing major problems for residents.
Residents at a Manor Avenue apartment complex say that the elevator in their building has been out of service since November 2014.
One resident in the apartment building says that she feels like a prisoner in her home on the third floor. She says that the elevator has been broken for several months, and she has had trouble getting to her doctor's appointments as a result.
The building's landlord says that they are in the process of fixing the elevator, but work has yet to be done.
The Langsam Property Services Corporation posted a notice on the elevator in December 2014, saying it will be replaced but that it will take several months for it to be delivered.
News 12 The Bronx is told that the elevator is expected to be out of service until at least May.
