Tombstones were recently found in a parking lot at Ferry Point Park.
Anthony Pisciotta, a bridge worker and cemetery volunteer, was notified about the tombstones from his co-workers. They thought his experience working in cemeteries would help find where the tombstones came from.
After doing some digging, Pisciotta says the tombstones don't appear to be from the Bronx or related to anyone in the borough.
The one thing all the tombstones have in common is that they all have the year 2013 chiseled on them. One of the tombstones appears to belong to a person buried in Minnesota, another to someone in Pennsylvania and another from Michigan.
Pisciotta says it's unknown how the tombstones ended up in the park, but says they should be treated with respect.
