A family in Williamsbridge is still without power after a tree on Willett Avenue fell at their front door – taking power lines with it.
"I couldn't believe it because it lifted from the bottom up – like it just exploded," said Denise Reyes.
The Reyes family contacted 311 multiple times to remove the tree from their front yard. They were originally told it could take 30 days to remove. However, later in the day Tuesday, the family sent News 12 a picture of crews working to remove the tree.
The problem of power does persist, and with another storm barreling toward the area – it could present a challenge for the family.
There are still widespread outages throughout the borough, which could be compounded by the expected severe weather Wednesday.
