A Bronx woman is on a mission to make a difference with a day to bring people together for community service.

Michelle Daniels has lived in the Bronx for 11 years and recently founded the Bronx Rox organization that is all about giving back to the community.

"We want people to feel good about the Bronx. We want people to come. We want tourists to come. We want to put the Bronx on the map," says Daniels.

Over a dozen people came out to River Avenue to volunteer for a community day paint-over.

The goal for Bronx Rox is to show locals that anyone can make a difference. Daniels plans to focus on cleaning up sidewalks, buildings and walls tagged with graffiti.

Daniels has also created a Bronx Rox apparel line to help raise money for future community events.
