Police have released new surveillance video of a man they want to question in connection to a deadly shooting near a playground Thursday.
The suspect, described to be between in his mid-20s to 30s with dreadlocks, is seen on surveillance video running down East 165 Street, about a block away from where the victim was shot.
News 12 is told officers were called to the scene around midnight on Thursday where they found a 31-year-old man shot multiple times in the torso outside Horseshoe Playground along Hall Place.
EMS rushed him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Jamarr Vestal, who lived about 30 minutes from the scene.
The playground was off limits for several hours Thursday as officers marked different areas inside and outside the park where they found around five bullet casings.
The suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
