Weekend construction resumes post-Sandy

Crews are getting back to work on weekend construction projects in The Bronx for the first time since Superstorm Sandy.

Drivers can expect one lane of traffic to be blocked both ways on the Major Deegan Expressway. The roadway is subject to full closures of up to 15 minutes during the overnight hours.

Work also resumes on the Grand Concourse service road heading southbound between Marcy Place and Elliot Place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Mass transit commuters could run into service changes on the D train, which will be skipping stops in both directions for track maintenance.
