Wheelchair stolen from woman in Highbridge
A Bronx woman is pleading for the return of her motorized wheelchair that was stolen outside a business in Highbridge.
Virginia Velez, 70, says she left her motorized chair outside the salon while she got her hair done, and it wasn't there when she went to leave. She says surveillance video outside the salon was able to catch images of three suspects stealing what appears to be her motorized chair.
Velez says she hopes the surveillance video will help detectives nab the thieves.
Since the chair was stolen, Velez has been getting around for two months on a borrowed wheelchair that is torn up and worn.
