Loved ones of a 21-year-old delivery worker who was killed in a hit-and-run say they are still waiting for justice in connection to his death.

Officials say Christian Castelan was struck on July 3, 2022, by a white Jeep at the intersection between East 174th Street and Metcalf Avenue.

"He was a very good kid, he had many dreams and aspirations for his mom and family," said Castelan's aunt, Margarita.

His family was at a memorial that was set up in front of the accident scene on Monday as a reminder of Castelan's life.

The memorial featured Castelan's picture and his bike.

Officials told News 12 that the driver, 28-year-old Jetsy Rodriguez, is facing charges of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.

Rodriguez is due back in court on Thursday.
