The Bronx District Attorney’s office says a man was arraigned and charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of a Bronx mother in Highbridge.

Saleh Ceesay, 21, of The Bronx, is accused of fatally stabbing Shashamanie Thompson, 30, inside her sixth-floor apartment on Saturday night.

Prosecutors say Ceesay acted alongside Beyonce Johnson, 24. Police say Johnson lives at the 1182 Ogden Ave. apartment building where the attack took place.

The NYPD responded to a 911 call for an assault in progress just after 10 p.m. Officers found Thompson unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to her face and abdomen.

Police say EMS took Thompson to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where she was pronounced dead. She leaves behind a son.

Prosecutors say Ceesay faces additional charges including manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. He is due back in court on Jan. 2.

Johnson remains in the hospital and has not faced a judge.
