In-person early voting is underway in New Jersey's 11th Congressional District. This is the race to fill Gov. Mikie Sherrill's old house seat. It's a contest between Democratic nominee Analilia Mejia and Republican Joe Hathaway.

New Jersey is moving ahead with nuclear energy to try and keep costs down. Gov. Mikie Sherrill signed legislation this week outside the Salem Nuclear Power Plant. It would modify the permit review process to determine if a facility's waste material is safe and lift a 40-year moratorium that blocked new sites from being built.
Sherrill says safe, new nuclear energy can produce clean, stable power at a predictable cost protected by global price swings.

Transportation plans are unclear two months from the start of the FIFA World Cup in New Jersey. The only thing known, so far, is that there will be no on-site parking or tailgating at MetLife Stadium.
