A Hempstead man is under arrest and accused of driving while intoxicated with kids in his car.

Pedro Marcia Maldonado was pulled over just before 1:30 a.m. on Glen Cove Avenue.

Police say two children, ages two and four, were in the back seat with their mother, without seat belts on.

The 34-year-old is charged with DWI, Leandra's Law and endangering the welfare of a child.
