A woman is dead after two cars crashed into a Newark laundromat Monday afternoon.

Police say a pickup truck hit a parked SUV outside the Ivy Hill laundromat on Irvington Avenue.

The crash caused both cars to crash through the front of the business.

Detectives say a woman who was sitting at a table near the front of the building was killed.

The woman has been identified by officials as Ruth Benjamin, 81, of Newark.
