Police are investigating a serious crash involving a truck and a juvenile on a bicycle in Matawan.
Authorities say the collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Route 34 and Broad Street. Investigators say a 2019 Hino moving truck was travelling eastbound on Broad Street when it collided with a BMX-style bicycle ridden by a male juvenile.
The cyclist is currently listed in critical but stable condition. The truck driver stayed at the scene and, at this time, no charges or summonses have been issued.
Because the incident involves a juvenile, authorities said no additional details are being released at this time.
