One man is dead and another hospitalized after being stabbed and slashed in Sunset Park Thursday morning.

Police responded to 50th St. and 6th Ave. just before 5 a.m.

When they arrived, they found a 35-year-old man with stab wounds to his torso. Another 36-year-old man was slashed in the face. They were both taken to Lutheran Hospital where the 35-year-old man was pronounced deceased.

The stabbing victim is in critical condition while the slashing victim is expected to be OK.

Police say they are looking for a man dressed in all black who fled on foot towards 6th Avenue.

There are no arrests and an investigation is underway.
