Police identified the man who they say broke into a child's bedroom and exposed himself in Wakefield last month near De Reimer and Bussing avenues.

Tishawn Maile, 35, allegedly entered the 8-year-old girl's bedroom through a window just after 5 a.m. on May 25. The NYPD says the child woke up to him exposing himself while performing a lewd act.

Police say Maile left the child's room when she woke up and took off running, traveling eastbound on Bussing Avenue.

The 8-year-old was not physically harmed.

Police provided a clear headshot of Maile and previously released two surveillance videos of the 35-year-old. One video shows his distinctive forearm tattoo.

News 12 spoke to neighbors who say they've seen Maile on security camera footage for months but have not seen him in-person.

Anyone with information is urged to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
