A man is in the hospital after being shot in Wakefield early Monday morning.
Police say they received reports of shots fired near the corner of East 237th Street and Bronx Boulevard just after midnight.
They say a 24-year-old man was sitting in his car when a car pulled up beside him. Officials believe the three men got into an argument and that is when police say the two men inside the other car shot the man several times before driving off.
The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he is being treated for injuries to his arm and leg.
He's in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
