A 31-year-old man was shot and killed on the sidewalk on Fulton Avenue just after 8 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene and found the man lying unresponsive on the ground.

A 31-year-old man was shot and killed on the sidewalk on Fulton Avenue just after 8 p.m. First responders arrived at the scene and found the man lying unresponsive on the ground.
Officials say the man was shot at least once. EMS responders transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 31-year-old man was taken into custody, according to police.
The deadly shooting happened just hours after the NYPD addressed the rise in gun violence in the Bronx.
