A 33‑year‑old woman died Sunday afternoon after being found unconscious while in custody at Brooklyn Central Booking, police say.
NYPD officers responded to the booking facility, where prisoners are typically processed, after receiving a report of a woman in medical distress.
Police said the woman, identified as Zamiqua Miller, was found unconscious and officers attempted to revive her.
Those efforts were unsuccessful.
At this time, police said there is no information available on the cause of her death.
