The 48th Precinct brought kids and police together Wednesday for some friendly competition.
The precinct held a volleyball tournament to help set kids up for a better future and allow the kids to get to know the officers in their local precinct.
Officers that attended the event say that it helps to break the stereotype about all police being bad and allows the youth to see a better side of officers.
The message that the tournament wanted to impress upon the children was to keep dreaming and to always believe in themselves.
