An accident on the Major Deegan Expressway brought traffic to a halt and sent three people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency officials say the accident involving eight cars happened around 3 p.m.
They say three injured people were taken to the NYC Health + Hospitals Lincoln.
