It was a very somber morning as it has been for the past 19 years, but this year was different as those that lost their lives on 9/11 were remembered.

The usual live reading of the names was done on an audio recording at the 9/11 Memorial this morning.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden, and Sen. Chuck Schumer were all in attendance.

As for the Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, they hosted their own memorial ceremony this morning next to Zuccotti Park.

After the 9/11 Memorial and Museum canceled its in-person reading of names of the thousands of victims lost, the foundation's organizers felt that a livestream would not be the same, and invited over 100 family members to read the names and share stories of victims who died on 9/11 in-person.
Those in attendance at both events wore masks and seemed to attempt social distancing.
