Activists in Park Slope give ‘wakeup call’ to Sen. Schumer over ongoing climate crisis

Activists and their children rallied outside Sen. Chuck Schumer's apartment building Sunday morning to give him a wake-up call about the ongoing climate change crisis.
They say they wanted to literally wake the senator up, demanding he stand by his commitment to including climate legislation in the infrastructure bill.
The protesters say they want him to join the nationwide push to fight for climate, health care and racial justice. They're also calling for investing to reduce climate pollution by 50% by 2030.
A spokesperson from Schumer's office told a protester over the phone that he does agree with addressing climate change and has made it a priority.
