A celebration took place outside the Kingsbridge Armory Sunday for those who spent time on a redevelopment plan now
funded by $200 million from the city and state.
The investment comes after a nine-month community-led process that engaged 4,000 Bronx residents in the ongoing conversation of what to use the massive space for.
By the end of 2023, Gov. Kathy Hochul says that private partners will be engaged, and the plan is to decide how to use the armory by the end of 2024.
News 12’s Dan Serafin spoke with those who helped develop the plan outside the armory.
