Some performance artists who have not been able to perform in months due to the pandemic, now have a chance to perform again at a new residency at City Point in Downtown Brooklyn.
The performance artists are a part of the new creative residency called Aerialists & Acrobats.
Many of the artists are performing for the first time in months, since ticketed performances were cancelled back in March due to the pandemic.
Because of the lack of live shows right now, aerialist Kyla Ernst-Alper created her own company, Anver Entertainment, giving the artists a platform to continue rehearsing by partnering with City Point for performance space.
The group is performing safely and keeping a distance from audience members who are able to watch through a glass window for free.
The aerialists and acrobats will be performing in their creative residency from now until the end of February on Sundays and Thursdays.
