Allan’s Bakery Bar and Café held its grand opening in Brooklyn on Nostrand Avenue Sunday.

The opening celebrated a plan almost 10 years in the making.

The café allows customers to enjoy their favorite foods after hours with later opening times.

Anticipation was high as people walked up and down the block to get a glimpse of the new business.

Manager Sharon Smith said that the pandemic created challenges for the business. However, one element that they said they never struggled with was quality.

“Food! We've always been able to make good food,” Smith said.
