Famed civil rights attorney Alton H. Maddox Jr. died on Sunday.
He was 77.
Maddox had a lengthy legal career that included fighting for the Black community in New York City.
Services for Maddox are being planned at the historic Abyssinian Bapist Church, according to Deacon C. Vernon Mason. Times and dates have not yet been released.
