Amazon starts selling coronavirus test kits to customers

The test was originally just for Amazon employees, but now can be purchased for $39.99.

  • Amazon is selling its own COVID test kits directly to customers. Patients who use the test must swab their nose at home and place the swab in a box with a prepaid shipping return label. The tests are sent to a centralized lab where the results are determined. The test was originally just for Amazon employees, but now can be purchased for $39.99.
  • Shares of Lordstown Motors rebounded Tuesday after its new chairwoman says production plans remain on track. The electric truck company says it has enough funding to operate through May 2020, sending its stock soaring as much as 15%. This comes a day after the company’s chairman, CEO and CFO resigned.
  • AMC theatres are reportedly close to a deal that would allow it to operate in Prime LA Pacific Cinema locations. The movie theater chain would run multiple multiplexes at popular malls like The Grove in West Hollywood and The Americana in Glendale.
