Bronx community members united for the third annual Community Engagement Fair Saturday.
The event was held at the field of Evander Child High School on East Gun Hill Road. Hundreds of people attended the event in an effort to demonstrate their community camaraderie.
The day ended with Bronx residents uniting in prayer after a day full of fun and games.
"We want people to feel good about their neighborhood and when they do, they do right by their neighborhood to strengthen communities, and that's what the day is," said Councilman Andy King.
Bronx residents also had the opportunity to take free medical exams at the fair and watch Grammy Award-winning artist and minister Donnie McClurkin perform.
