Art exhibits sheds light on missing students
The Point Campus for the Arts and Environment is holding an art exhibit that tells the story of the disappearance of several students in Mexico.
"Men of Clay" was created by artist, Alberto Villalobos, who says the exhibit honors those who have disappeared in Mexico and around the world.
Villalobos says "Men of Clay" was inspired by the 2014 disappearance of 43 students in Mexico. He says they have been missing for over 31 months now and hopes the exhibit sheds light on similar incidents.
"I think it's important to create awareness and bring attention to the fact that there are 43 people right now missing somewhere in the world," Villalobos said. "It might be your son, your daughter, your brother..."
The exhibit closes on May 29.
