Those who love Plumb Beach say they are upset to see large, loud parties at the beach and trash piling up there during the coronavirus pandemic.
Assemblymember Jaime Williams says she went to the beach Saturday night after hearing numerous complaints about loud partying in the parking lot and along the beach.
"The parking lot was filled with cars beyond capacity. When we went onto the beach, there was a live DJ, bonfires, people everywhere,” said Williams.
She says she called the National Park Service, but says it’s the people who were out and about who need to do better.
"We need to do our part and really clean up because people come here with their families to enjoy the beach and enjoy what's left of the summer and really park here and have to walk through all this garbage is unfair. It's not sanitary,” said Williams.
Williams and others are hoping that those who go to the beach start to take care of the space they are using so others can enjoy it as well.
