A man was shot aboard the 4 train Tuesday afternoon in The Bronx, according to authorities.

Police say they responded to calls reporting an ongoing assault at the Wall Street subway station around 12:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found a 27-year-old man with a wound to his abdomen.

He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue in stable condition.

The suspect remains at large, and no description has been provided.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
