Fans are taking to Frank’s Sport Shop in East Tremont looking to gear up for NBA champions New York Knicks' ticker-tape parade Thursday in Manhattan.

The family-owned business, which has served Bronx sports fans for nearly 105 years, says demand for Knicks merchandise has surged as the team’s playoff success has continued over the past two seasons.

Store owner Ron Stein says authentic Knicks gear has been flying off the shelves. Fans are purchasing jerseys, hats, cups and other blue-and-orange merchandise to celebrate the team’s third NBA championship.

“If you look around, nothing is imitation. It’s all real, ” Stein said on Tuesday.
Some fans traveled from outside the borough just to visit the iconic shop.

“I didn’t realize the merit the store holds and like how vintage and how long they’ve been here. It’s pretty cool,” said Brandon Parks, of Westchester County.

Stein says merchandise featuring Knicks star Jalen Brunson has been among the most popular items. With the championship parade just days away, fans are continuing to stock up on gear as excitement remains high throughout New York City.
