Women diagnosed with uterine cancers in the aftermath of 9/11 were given a voice in 2023 as well as compensation within the World Trade Center Health program.

Prior to the agency's expansion in 2023, those with uterine cancer were not given assistance.

Many felt it was a sign of inequity, as every other cancer recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention was compensated for.
