A new bill is being introduced in the City Council to help support victims who have been displaced due to unforeseen emergency situations.
News 12 crews were initially on scene at 2910 Wallace Ave. back in January after a five-alarm fire ripped through the building. That fire left hundreds of families displaced. Six months later, many of those families are still left without homes.
The Back Home Act is being introduced by the City Council in an effort to help families affected like the ones from Wallace Avenue with easier access to temporary locations and closer to their homes in their respected boroughs.
