A Pelham Bay bakery well-known for its cookies is selling something special during the month of October.
Zeppieri and Sons bakery is selling pink ribbon cookies in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The cookies are being sold for $1 each to raise money for a longtime customer and friend named Amira.
Amira has been battling breast cancer for six years. All of the money raised made will go to Amira and her team who are walking in the Breast Cancer Walk in Central Park later this month.
The Zeppieri family says this is their third year selling these cookies for breast cancer, but this year is extra special because it's for Amira.
So far, the bakery has raised $700.
