A Bay Ridge car dealership donated a car Thursday to the daughter of an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty over the summer.
Genesis Villella's mother, Miosotis Familia, died in the line of duty in the Bronx.
As News 12 has reported, police say Alexander Bonds crept up on the mobile command post where she was stationed and shot her in the head through a window.
Villella received a new Elantra from Bay Ridge Hyundai to drive herself and the other two children Familia left behind.
The midnight blue sedan is similar in color to Familia's NYPD uniform.
"I'll be literally enclosed in a shroud of blue everywhere I go," Villella said.
Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams commended Familia's bravery and raised concerns about the dangers police officers face on a daily basis.
