A Bed-Stuy church held a special Mass Sunday to close out a week of events that commemorated its 120th anniversary.
Bishop Robert Brennan from the Diocese of Brooklyn led the Mass at Our Lady of Charity Roman Catholic Church.
The church was first started to accommodate the influx of Italian immigrants in the area.
The parish officially designated the church in 1908 and the church located at 1669 Dean St. opened in 1914.
The NYPD set up outside the church to distribute bags and coloring books to kids to show their support for the parish community.
