Michelle Marcus is in her third year as a Salvation Army bell ringer. Although she says she is searching for a full time job, she continues to give her time to help those less fortunate.
Her spirited dancing performances keep her mind distracted from the cold winds and sometimes the snow. Most bell ringers are out in the elements for close to eight hours per day from November until Christmas Eve.
It's estimated that the Salvation Army collects $30 an hour, which is enough to feed one family or shelter one person each evening.
