Fans celebrated the official retirement of baseball legend Derek Jeter's number two Sunday with a block party outside Yankee Stadium.
A street was blocked off for fans to have fun and celebrate one of the most popular Bronx Bombers of all time.
"It's a great thing that they're honoring Derek Jeter inside the stadium tonight, but not everybody can afford to go into that game," says organizer Cary Goodman.
Jerseys were on sale, and artists paid tribute to the iconic shortstop.
Fans say Jeter's humility and loyalty to the Yankees is what makes him special.
