The city of Bloomfield has lifted a boil water advisory that has been in place since a major water main break in nearby Nutley last week.
Officials say that testing has confirmed that the water is safe to consume.
But residents are still being asked to conserve water.
The 6-foot water main broke on Oct. 5 and impacted several nearby towns, including Montclair and Glen Ridge.
Crews have made repairs and hope to have full water service restored within the next few days.
