10h agoThe city of Bloomfield has lifted a boil water advisory that has been in place since a major water main break in nearby Nutley last week.
Officials say that testing has confirmed that the water is safe to consume.
RELATED: State of emergency in effect for Glen Ridge and Montclair due to days-long water main break
But residents are still being asked to conserve water.
The 6-foot water main broke on Oct. 5 and impacted several nearby towns, including Montclair and Glen Ridge.
Crews have made repairs and hope to have full water service restored within the next few days.
