A nonprofit organization honored fallen NYPD officer Manny Vargas by dedicating a teddy bear to him Friday.
Vargas worked in the 49th Precinct for 23 years and passed away earlier in November after a long battle with a 9/11-related cancer.
The nonprofit, Blue Line Bear, dedicated teddy bears to the Vargas family that were personalized and sown using his old uniforms.
Blue Line Bears was started by 16-year-old Megan O'Grady from Florida. She says she wanted to comfort the families of fallen law enforcement officers.
O'Grady's father is a police officer. She says it's important for her to do this because losing her father is her worst fear.
