New Yorkers are continuing to turn out for early voting in huge numbers.

In the city alone, more 457,000 people have already hit the polls to make their voices heard.

So many people are showing up to cast their ballots that the Board of Elections has extended early voting hours for this weekend.

On Friday and Saturday people can vote from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Since early voting started on Saturday, the city has seen thousands of people wait in line and New Yorkers are still showing up in big numbers. The Board of Elections is reporting the number of voters in the Bronx is doubling, as more than 66,000 people have cast their ballot. Meanwhile in Brooklyn the turnout keeps surpassing every borough with 149,000 people so far.

And everyone has had a different experience. People at times waiting in line for hours while other polling sites voters waited less than 30 minutes. Nonetheless, people are eager to vote and have been sharing their reasons why they don't care standing in line and waiting for a few hours.

Others have expressed that waiting in long lines is a sign of voter suppression. Yesterday Mayor Bill de Blasio waited in line for multiple hours at the Park Slope Armory YMCA.

"I’m a little tired like everyone else, but it is important, nothing more important than voting this year. This is longer than expected but no one had any surprises, we knew there would be a big line one way or another,” said Mayor de Blasio.

New Yorkers have until Sunday to vote early otherwise Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
