Broken door causes fire station problems
A broken door has been causing major problems at a fire house in Westchester Square.
The Squad 61 Station say their door has to be opened manually and kept open, requiring them to leave one man behind to watch the station during emergency calls.
Earlier this year, the city made major improvements on everything from gender-neutral bathrooms to an updated kitchen, but the $75,000 door is still broken.
Councilman James Vacca will be allocating funds in the upcoming June budget to fix the door, which is expected to be installed within the year.
