Voters in Brownsville were excited at the polls Saturday as they came out to cast their ballots just three days before the election.
With no lines at Van Dyke Community Center, voters came in and out of the poll site with ease.
In just a week since early voting started, the city has seen more than 800,000 early voters who are hoping to use their votes to make an impact.
Elected officials made a recent push in the neighborhood to encourage more people to vote, saying voter turnout in Brownsville has been about 30% lower than other parts of the district.
The poll coordinator there on Saturday said she saw a steady amount of voters turn out.
Sunday is the last day for early voting before Election Day this Tuesday Nov. 3. Sunday's voting hours are from 7 a.m.3 to 4 p.m.
